"We had a very positive experience with your organization and we are very excited about our new baby tree! We will take very good care of it! Thank you very much!

i'd suggest registering jptrees.org and pointing it to this site. it's easier for people to remember in conversation. i'm happy to kick down the fee, but someone else should probably be on the registration for the name
We are gearing up to go far beyond the 100 trees that we planted last year!
In order to kick into high gear and get lots of gorgeous little trees planted this spring, we need volunteers (newcomers and seasoned tree huggers) to do the following:
Post Flyers - Must enjoy walking or biking around JP, handing out flyers to spread the word about the Setback Tree program! The flyers are attached. A great opportunity to meet lots of new people and gently recruit new stewards while talking with fellow JP citizens.
Site Evaluators - We are looking for four new site evaluators! This entails going to yards of interested tree stewards and drawing a detailed plan of the spaces where JP Trees will plant. This information is then used by the Earthworks arborist to determine the best species of trees for the site.
Please reply to jptreesinfo@gmail.com if you can help with either of these activities.

The Tree Art Project is a working group of fellow JP tree-lovers to discuss and coordinate our "Favorite Trees of Jamaica Plain" project.

As JP Trees is branching out while simultaneously trying to strengthen our core, there are three areas where new leaders are needed:
- Door-knocking coordinator
- Flyering coordinator
- Site evaluations coordinator
Experience in those roles is not necessary--only the motivation to inspire others to take some walks around the neighborhood.
Each coordinator position can also be the role of two people. The door-knocking and flyering coordinators help plan days/times for outreach in order to gain more stewards for front yard trees.
The site evaluations coordinator plans dates for training and evaluating front yards for interested stewards. The evaluations help determine which tree(s) are best suited for the spot(s).
All of these actiivities are a spring through late summer activity.
If you are interested in taking on any of these volunteer leadership roles within JP Trees, or have questions pertaining to them, please contact us at jptreesinfo@gmail.com
